We miss you!

Emerald Pig is planning for the future.

First and foremost, thank you all for your continued support of the Emerald Pig Theatrical Society.  It may be a cliche, but we really are nothing without YOU – our members and our audience.  Sincere thanks for sticking with us through thick and thin. ️

We haven’t had a lot to say lately. In a world that has remained uncertain for so long, it has been impossible to plan events, or know in any way what the future has to hold for all of us.

But there is now light at the end of the tunnel. With businesses re-opening, and restrictions easing up, we have begun to feel hopeful again. We would like to ask for your continued patience as we begin to plan what our collective future might look like.

We have a unique opportunity to make a fresh start, and we are taking it  We have begun to evaluate what we need to do to move forward as a successful theatre club in this new world, and we have some exciting ideas.  We will share them as soon as we can, and once our ball is rolling, we will need your help in many ways. We hope we can count on you to come along for the journey.  It wouldn’t be the same with you. ️💜

So please stay tuned…something fun is coming soon!

Online Meeting Announcement

Emerald Pig Theatrical Society AGM

EPTS will be holding our AGM on Sunday, February 7, at 11am. Our meeting will be held via the Zoom platform.

Invitations were sent out by email to everyone who participated in one of our shows over the past two years as cast or crew. But times have been strange, and we just want to gently remind members to please check your email if you have not already seen the invitation. If you would like to attend, please reply to the email to get the Zoom link for the meeting. If you cannot find the email, please check those catchalls, like your junk folder, and failing that, feel free to drop us a line via our contact email. If you’re not already a member, but you’d like to be…please get in touch, we’d love to have you!

A message from our President:

As I’m sure you know, COVID has hit community theatre pretty hard. We’ve had to cancel or postpone shows this year. One thing we can’t cancel, though, is our AGM. We were supposed to hold it in September but that couldn’t happen. The BC Societies Act has been temporarily amended to allow groups like ours to delay holding meetings until March, 2021.

If you are interested in attending, and we really hope you would like to, please get in touch and we’ll provide you with the Zoom invitation as well as an Agenda for the meeting.

Thanks,
Simon Challenger
EPTS President

COVID-19 Update

For all of our friends, patrons and lovers of Shakespeare, you’ll have realized that we, too, have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 virus. That has meant cancellation of our Bard on the Bandstand presentation of “As You Like It” for this summer. Don’t worry, though. We will be bringing Rosalind, Orlando, Celia, Touchstone and all their companions to the stage next summer in Mission, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge. It may be re-imagined depending upon what needs to be done to satisfy virus protocols, but we can guarantee you’ll love it! Keep following our page for further updates regarding Bard on the Bandstand, and other Emerald Pig events.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe!

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, Emerald Pig Theatrical Society has made the decision to cancel their upcoming Pitch Night until further notice. We regret any disappointment this may cause, however, we feel that while people are taking steps to self isolate in order to slow/prevent transmission of the disease, that this is the responsible course of action.
