Bard on the Bandstand 2019: The Comedy of Errors
Bard on the Bandstand is an annual community celebration of Shakespeare that is always free to the community and every year has consistently raised over 500 pounds of food and cash donations for the Friends In Need Food Bank. Last year we raised $1477 in cash and 856 pounds of nonperishable food. This will be our 14th edition of Bard and, as always, it is free and family-friendly. We hope you will join us at West Coast Flying Trapeze for an afternoon of CIRCUS FUN and FUNd-raising in support of this wonderful community event!
About West Coast Flying Trapeze
You don’t have to come from a superhero family or a long line of European gymnasts to climb the ladder and take a swing on a trapeze. West Coast Flying Trapeze makes it possible for anyone to fly through the air in a safe and fun fashion. Classes are catered to burgeoning trapeze artists as young as six years old, and led by a staff of trained experts, some of whom have performed in circuses around the globe.
Waiver
There will be waiver available at the door, but to save time when you arrive (and have more fun on the trapeze!), please sign the waiver ahead of time (any participants under the age of 18 will need a parent or legal guardian to sign for them) online at: https://www.waiverking.com/print/22409
Please note that if we do not receive a signed waiver, students will not be able to participate in the activities.
Stations – Try all 3!
– Juggling – learn a variety of skills with balls, rings, clubs, Diablo, flower stick, Rolla Bolla.
Aerial – Learn basic poses on the silks and hoop

What to Wear
For aerial and acro, we suggest wearing form-fitting clothes that cover their armpits and the backs of their knees (leggings and a T-shirt would be perfect), and long hair should be tied back. Please do not wear any clothes with metal accessories, such as zippers, buttons, or hook and eye closures. All jewelry will need to be removed. Students have the choice of going in socks or barefoot.
