SYNOPSIS:
It is Halloween and six people have secretly gathered for a murder-mystery weekend on a private island in the Cassandra Lakes. As a storm rages outside, they play a game that any Agatha Christie fan would enjoy — full of spooky delights, mysterious revelations and gory murders — until suddenly the game takes on an ominous reality. Surprises abound in this hair-raising thriller, culminating in an unexpected twist that even Agatha herself could not foresee.

CHARACTERS:
Charles: Mid-to late 40’s. An urbane, intelligent, and well-bred English mystery novelist. He is the ultimate host who invites the group to his rustic island cottage for the weekend game.
Valerie: Early to mid forties. Henri’s smart and savvy older sister. She is well-turned-out and accustomed to getting her own way.
Henri: Late 20’s. Valerie’s younger sister. She is shy, easily intimidated, and dresses conservatively.
Elwood: Mid-fifties, balding. A confident, friendly, and powerful corporate CEO type who is well aware of his own influence.
McKenzie: Late 20’s. Elwood’s girlfriend. She is a witty, extroverted fashion model with a tough exterior.
Willy: Around 40. A big, friendly, and gregarious former football player who has a great sense of humor.

REHEARSALS
Sunday afternoons, Monday and Tuesday evenings, with some exceptions. A full calendar will be available closer to the audition dates.

RUN DATES:
January 14 to 17, Albion Community Centre, Maple Ridge
January 21 to 24, Heritage Hall, Pitt Meadows

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
– EPTS is a Non-Equity, volunteer operated, not-for-profit organization. If cast, you will be required to become a member of the Emerald Pig Theatrical Society (there is a $10 membership fee). Payment is due at the first readthrough, and scripts will only be issued to paid members.
– As a club, we do anticipate those cast will recognize themselves as a member of a TEAM, readily willing to help out with the show behind the scenes where possible, such as helping load-in and out of the performance facilities, etc. Teamwork makes the dream work.
